Bringing a Tired Pool Back to Life
Most of the pools we renovate on the Central Coast are structurally fine but showing their age. The interior has gone chalky or stained, the waterline tiles are lifting, the coping is cracked, and the pump groans through summer while the old halogen lights barely light the water. Older pools were often wired to standards that no longer apply, so a renovation is the point where the circuits, RCD protection and bonding are brought up to current safety standards. New Interior Surfaces
The interior is what you see and feel most, and it is the first thing to date a pool. We strip the worn surface and re-interior in quartz, pebble or a full tile finish, so the water reads clean and the colour comes back to life across concrete and fibreglass pools alike.
Waterline Tiling & Coping
Lifting waterline tiles and cracked coping make a pool look neglected no matter how clear the water is. We re-tile the waterline, replace the coping and match new stone or paving to the home, giving the whole edge of the pool a crisp, finished line.
Pump & Filtration Upgrades
An old single-speed pump is loud and expensive to run. We swap it for an efficient variable-speed unit and modernise the filtration, so the pool circulates better and the running costs drop noticeably through the swimming season.
LED Lighting Upgrades
Old halogen pool lights are dim, hot and draw power. We replace them with modern LED lighting that lights the whole pool cleanly, uses a fraction of the energy and, where you want it, adds colour for evenings around the water.
Salt Systems & Heating
A renovation is the ideal time to add a salt or mineral chlorinator for softer water, or heating to stretch the season. As electricians we size, install and wire the gear ourselves so it runs safely and correctly from day one.
Electrical Brought to Code
This is the part most renovators skip. Older pools were wired under rules that no longer apply, and any equipment upgrade has to meet current standards. We bring the circuits, RCD protection and bonding up to code as part of the same contract.

Free Site Inspection
We start at the pool, checking the shell, the interior, the tiling and the equipment, and looking closely at how the electrical is wired. From this we tell you honestly whether a renovation makes sense or whether the pool is better rebuilt, before any work is quoted.
Fixed Written Quote & Plan

Strip Back & Repair
We drain the pool, remove the old interior and tiles, and repair any cracks, leaks or plumbing faults in the shell and pipework. Getting the structure and fittings sound first is what makes the new surface last, so this stage is not rushed.
New Interior, Tiling & Coping
We apply the chosen interior finish, lay the fresh waterline tiles and set the new coping, coordinating any paving around the pool at the same time. This is where a dated pool turns back into a feature the backyard is built around.
Equipment & Electrical Upgrade
We install and wire the new pump, filtration, salt or mineral system, LED lighting and any heating, and bring the pool circuits, RCD protection and bonding up to current safety standards. As licensed electricians we do this ourselves, without waiting on an outside contractor.

Renovation Clients on Belvedere
Our 1990s concrete pool at Umina Beach was stained and the old pump was deafening. Belvedere re-interiored it in pebble, re-tiled the waterline and put in a variable-speed pump and LED lights. What sold us was that they picked up the pool wiring was well out of date and brought it up to standard themselves. It looks like a brand new pool for a fraction of a rebuild.
